This chutney is typically made from dried plums which you can get from any South Asian store. It’s a tangy, sweet, sour and spicy chutney, packed with a lot of flavor. You can enjoy this chutney with foods like biryani, have it with crackers or bread, or it can accompany your Christmas roast as an alternative to cranberry sauce!
It’s a tradition that my dad makes this chutney around the Christmas holidays and so I wanted to recreate his recipe! My husband made some fresh bread while I was making this, and our apartment literally smelt like Christmas. I hope it gives you all the Christmas feels!
